Parent partnership - The Orange Tree @ Mickleover

We have had a busy few weeks at nursery. As part of our parent partnership work we have been focusing on community support. We asked our preschool families to help us in organising a collection for the Mickleover food bank. This is a cause close to home as we're aware times are hard for many people at the moment and we wanted to encourage the children to think about their community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone involved - it has been lovely to see everyone working together for such a good cause.

On Friday, Paul from the Mickleover food bank came to collect the food and thank everybody for their efforts. The children worked together to stack all of the food into his special containers. Paul spoke to the children to explain where the food will go and praised the children for their kindness and generosity.

We are very proud of them all!

This week we have also decorated the nursery for Remembrance Day.
