This week our children at The Orange Tree @ Hucknall have taken part in discussions about their feelings and why our feelings are important.
We also discussed what impact we can have on the feelings of others and why it is important to always be kind.
On Saturday the 23rd of September, we celebrated ten years of The Orange Tree Day Nurseries at our annual Company Awards night, held at Derby Conference Centre. Jacqui Mason (our founder and Managing Director) introduced our new video of the Orange Tree Journey, explaining The Orange Tree Story So Far. At our heart remains a desire for consistency and high quality childcare driven by our “even better if” approach to everyday.
During September our Early Years children have setup their new Nursery Council.
We discussed plans for nursery and exciting activities that the children would like to take part in.
We are really looking forward to this new term and all of their amazing ideas!

Meal times are really important to us all here at nursery.
On Saturday 1 April we celebrated 1 year of The Orange Tree @ Burnaston.
This has been a fabulous 12 months with exciting nursery developments both inside and outside.

This week at The Orange Tree @ Hucknall our preschool children enjoyed their very own spa day!
As it has been children's Mental Health Week we have been talking a lot about how we feel and what our emotions mean.
We came to nursery in our pyjamas to help us relax and enjoyed spending time in our new 'Zen Den' where we listened to tranquil music whilst enjoying a foot massage and practicing breathing techniques.
On Saturday all six Orange Tree nurseries joined forces for our Company Training Day at The Derby Conference Centre. A big thank you to our guest speaker, Sarah Gilpin (from OFSTED) who provided us with lots to think about regarding effective communication in nursery.
This week our children visited Beaumont House and enjoyed painting with the residents.
Last week our Early Years children held their nursery council session. They discussed what they would like to introduce into nursery in 2023!
