The Orange Tree Day Nurseries Charity fundraising

On Friday 1 March The Orange Tree Day Nurseries were delighted to welcome Maria Hanson (MBE) to receive a fundraising cheque of £2,238 for Derby based me & dee charity, dedicated to supporting families facing life-limiting, life-shortening, or terminal health conditions.

Maria Hanson (MBE) founder and CEO of me & dee (alongside Head of Operations, Mark Harrison) visited The Orange Tree @ Derby on Duffield Road to receive the cheque, which was presented by Orange Tree founder Jacqui Mason, supported by nursery staff and children and mascot Ollie Orange!

Jacqui said “it has been a privilege to partner with me & dee over recent months, supporting their fundraising efforts and events. We are overwhelmed, as always, by the generosity and support of our families and staff. me & dee was a charity selected by our staff teams across our six nurseries in Derby, Mickleover, Stoke, Burton, Burnaston and Hucknall due to experiences of some of our own families, benefitting from acts of kindness and compassion from Maria and her wonderful organisation”.

me & dee charity, based in Derby, has earned widespread acclaim for its mission to create cherished memories for families during their most challenging moments. Through various initiatives and heartfelt gestures, the charity strives to bring comfort, joy, and a sense of normality to those affected by life-limiting illnesses.

Over the past 11 years The Orange Tree Day nurseries have supported a range of charities. Jacqui commented, “as we continue in our company growth, with the opening of our new baby suite at The Orange Tree @ Derby, we hope to further support local families and our wider community with baby groups and nursery events.”
