As part of our recent learning topic we have been exploring volcanos and learning about why volcanos erupt.
We really enjoy getting creative at nursery and the children have taken part in a sticking activity where we have created our own volcanoes.
We have also designed our own experiment where we used bicarbonate of soda along with a mixture of white vinegar, fairy liquid and food colouring. The children sprayed the mixture on onto the bicarbonate of soda and loved watching it foam up and erupt just like a volcano!
The activities have also allowed children to develop their fine motor skills when holding and using glue spreaders and the spray bottles during our experiment.
Well done everyone!
